Move again, by intention.

Cirus is building a brain-computer interface you wear, not one you implant, so that people living with paraplegia or tetraplegia can control a wheelchair, a computer or an exoskeleton.

You decide to move.

The signal leaves your brain.

It never reaches your body.

Cirus gives that signal another way out.

A brain-computer interface you wear.

Implanted interfaces need brain surgery. We are building one you simply put on.

No operation

Nothing to implant. A headset you put on replaces brain surgery.

Easy to use

Designed so a person or a carer can set it up, without a technician.

At home

Built for daily life at home, not only for the lab or the hospital.

Calibration-free

Ready to use, without long training sessions for each new person.

From intention to movement: headset, imagery, decoding, device.

EEG records the electrical activity of the brain from the scalp. A headset picks up the signal over the motor cortex and sends it to the app.

Every recording matters.

We record brain activity while people imagine movements. Each recording helps our system recognize the intention to move. Anyone can take part.

Athletes

Trained in mental rehearsal, athletes imagine movements clearly and consistently. Their recordings give our system clean examples to learn from.

Healthy volunteers

No experience needed. The more people take part, the better the system works for everyone.

People living with paralysis

The people Cirus is built for. Your recordings make sure it works for you.

Where we are.

Building toward

Computer, wheelchair, exoskeleton

Everyday devices, controlled by the intention to move.

End goal

Everyday mobility

Independence at home, without surgery.

Built on research.

Cirus comes out of five years of research on motor imagery and brain-computer interfaces at the Paris Brain Institute and INRIA.
